Our Veterinary Services
Regular wellness exams allow us to catch underlying health problems early, provide consistent preventative care, and support your pet’s overall health and well-being.
Our veterinarians are skilled in diagnosing common problems that affect our pets like vomiting, itching, lumps, limping, and more.
Vaccines are essential for preventive care and can increase the chances of a longer, happier life for pets. Ensuring that pets are consistently up to date with their vaccinations can help prevent contracting disease or help lessen the severity of symptoms if a disease is contracted.
Another key component of helping to maintain your pet’s health and happiness is having them on reliable, consistent heartworm preventative.
Heartworm disease is serious and potentially fatal to our dogs and cats. Heartworms are spread by mosquito bites and can grow up to a foot long, living in the heart and lungs of our beloved pets.
Fleas can cause itchy skin, skin infections, and spread tapeworms. Ticks can carry disease such as Lyme Disease, Ehrlichiosis, and more.
From routine cleanings to tooth extractions, the Thrive Pet Healthcare network of Primary Care veterinarians and Dental Specialists is here to keep your pet's smile fresh! Our general practices can take care of everyday dental maintenance with outstanding regular check-ins, cleanings, and basic surgeries.
Meanwhile, our specialty veterinarians are prepared to handle more complex or chronic dental cases like a root abscess, jaw fracture, abnormal tooth formation, or advanced periodontal disease. These doctors are highly trained within the field of veterinary dentistry and have access to specialized equipment, typically unavailable at primary care clinics.
Unless you intend to breed, we recommend having pets spayed or neutered. Pets that have been spayed or neutered tend to live longer and have healthier lives.
It's hard to provide care without knowing the root of what is ailing your pet, which is why diagnostic testing is so important. Diagnostic testing can include laboratory testing (blood, urine, and fecal) and diagnostic imaging like X–rays, CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
We will be by your side during this time of need to offer both medical assistance and emotional support.
Our primary goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for dogs while they are away from home. It’s never easy leaving your best furry friend behind when you take a trip, and only you know their behaviors and unique needs best. However, thankfully, you can feel calm and relaxed knowing they are in the safest of hands with our pet boarding and daycare teams.
Each pet receives:
- Blankets and bedding (if allowed)
- Cot or gymnastics mat (depending on arthritis concerns, age, etc.)
- Four walks per day – 7 AM, 10 AM, 2 PM, and 5 PM
- Two to three meals per day
Additional services include:
- Play time: This is a service that we offer only to dogs, and we offer it Monday–Sunday. Your dog will be playing in a yard one-on-one with one of our Animal Care Providers with a variety of toys that we provide for about twenty minutes. These sessions are limited to one per day.
- Cuddle Time: This is a service that we offer to dogs OR cats, and we offer it Monday–Sunday. Your dog will be spending quiet time one-on-one with one of our animal care providers either in the pet’s suite, or outside in a yard. These sessions are good for pets that may be a little anxious and looking for comfort during hotel stays.
- Extra Potty Break: In addition to the four walks per day, we will take your dog out for an additional walk in the yard throughout the day.
Wellness requirements include:
- Rabies vaccine
- Bordetella vaccine (dogs only)
- Distemper parvo vaccine / Feline respiratory vaccine
Intestinal parasite screening - Flea prevention
- Heartworm test & prevention if adding doggie daycare
Our primary goal is to provide a safe and controlled environment for dogs to play and socialize with other dogs and our Animal Care Attendants. We use daycare as a tool to help dogs learn appropriate social behavior and safe energetic play.
Upon each patient's first visit, they are admitted for an "evaluation day." We introduce them to the yard and allow them to get comfortable with their surroundings. While watching their body language, we see how they play and interact with other pets. We pair and match pets together in categorized yards based on activity level and energy. This allows them to have a safe and fun daycare session.

Yard Categories:
- Tiny Town: This yard is best for smaller pups, or for dogs who may be a little more shy or anxious around larger, more rambunctious dogs. While the dogs in Tiny Town are still active and playful, this yard also works well for those who like to sunbathe, lay down or relax during daycare. Dogs may start in this yard, but can "graduate" to either Big Dog Yard or the Wild Wild West.
- Big Dog Yard: This yard is best for our larger dogs who may be a little older, but still high energy. The dogs who do best in this yard are friendly, comfortable, and do not mind when other dogs come into their space with high energy every now and then.
- Wild Wild West: Dogs in this yard vary in size, and these pups are typically running around, actively playing for the entire time they're outside. This yard does really well for dogs who like to play a little rougher and a little more actively than some older pups.
Due to kennel space, doggie daycare is by reservation only. Please speak to one of our client service representatives to schedule your pet's evaluation day.
The occasional taps, scrapes, and scratches that happen when playing with your pet means it's time for a trip to your local veterinarian or boarding facility! Trimming your pet's nails is a healthy part of their life, and can lead to greater comfort in everyday activity.
Grooming has hygienic and health benefits for pets. We offer safe, quality pet grooming ranging from nail trims and baths to more specific grooming services.
Let's face it - the life of a pet can be pretty dirty. Playing in things and making a mess, self-grooming, and all the little things that our pets enjoy every day doesn't always make for a great smelling companion. That's why our Thrive Pet Care partner clinics offer bathing services to get your pet sweet smelling and sparkly clean!
Bathing specialists at Thrive Pet Care partner clinics know what it means to give a scared pet a bath too, as they're trained and prepared in keeping your pet calm, even when they don't like being clean. When your pet comes back out, you'll be glad they got a bath - and they will be too!
